The Government Track
The Government Track at Hanoi Hacking Week will focus on the state's role in building a robust and resilient National Cybersecurity and implementing the “Concept of the National Cybersecurity Transformation”. The purpose of the Concept is to protect the country from national cyber threats, what makes almost impossible to cause an irreparable damage to the state and critical infrastructure of the country, and thus ensure the national sovereignty in cyberspace.
Sessions will address the establishment of the National Cyber Security Posture Evaluation Program with the aim to evaluate critical infrastructure organizations by simulating real-world multi-vector attacks to check how well their defenses would withstand them; launch of the Education and Training Program to grow the community of the new generation cybersecurity professionals; creation of an independent national cyber defense strategy, and development of critical components within the national cybersecurity infrastructure by locally-grown resources.

The Business Track at Hanoi Hacking Week offers government and business leaders practical insights into aligning cybersecurity with strategic priorities. It covers essential topics such as evaluating true security outcomes, the role of Bug Bounty programs, and the comparison of cyber testing, cyber ranges, and pentesting. The focus is on result-driven cybersecurity that resonates with top management, emphasizing the prevention of non-tolerable events and addressing catastrophic risks.
Participants will also explore the realities of cyber warfare, collaboration between IT and security, building DevSecOps, and leveraging automation and outsourced SOCs to tackle resource challenges. This track provides actionable strategies for ensuring cybersecurity resilience in an evolving threat landscape.

Standoff 101: an event for aspiring cybersecurity specialists

Standoff 14: an international cyberbattle
Standoff Cyberbattle is a hyperrealistic cybersecurity competition where specialists can level up their skills in just 28 hours by engaging with lifelike replicas of information systems and infrastructures used in different sectors. Standoff 14 is held over four days. It takes place in a specially designed virtual space called State F, which emulates operational and business processes typical of different sectors: banking, IT, energy, oil and gas, heavy industry, and others. During the event, ethical hackers will be looking for ways to disrupt the operations in State F, and security experts will investigate the attacks.
